| Boats are allocated strictly on an availability basis – it is not
possible to pre-select a particular boat or type |
| No boat license is required; if you can drive a car you will find it easy
to drive a boat. You must possess a current driving licence – minimum
age for renting or driving a boat in Florida is 21 |
| In the waterways remember to observe the “no wake” speed limits
– (these speed limits are strictly policed) – any fines or prosecutions
for non observance of environmental signs or speeding violations are the
sole responsibility of the renter. |
| Boat rental is provided by an independent specialist boat rental company
– you will be required to sign a separate rental contract and provide
credit card details locally, when the boat is delivered to your villa. Failure
to sign the boat rental contract or to provide suitable credit card security
will invalidate the boat rental element of the inclusive package –
no refunds will be made Please read the rental contract thoroughly before
signing. |
| Secret Places and its agents are not responsible for any costs you may
incur or credit card charges you may receive for replacement costs and/or
damage to the boat. All correspondence relating to claims for any supplementary
charges/loss/damage etc will be between the renter and boat rental company
in the first instance. |
| Renters understand and accept that no responsibility will be accepted
by Secret Places, its agents and any third parties for cancellation or curtailment
of the boat rental due to inclement weather conditions – all reservations
are considered firm at time of booking, no refunds are available. At the
discretion of the boat rental company re-scheduling may be offered subject
to availability and the renters timescale. |
| Hurricane policy (boat rental only) – an exception to the inclement
weather policy exists where a “mandatory evacuation order” is
announced for non residents of Cape Coral or Lee County – in these
circumstances, and at the discretion of Secret Places and it’s agents
a refund of the boat rental element of the package will be made. |
